Following a makeover in November 2013, the Fnac Kids section at the Genève Rive store is looking great: the books selection is much larger, with plenty of great toys and gift ideas too – but the best bit for me is the number of free workshops and readings that are now part of the bookshop’s weekly agenda.

I popped in last week with my Little Missy and did not come away empty handed: here’s some photos of the kids section, some lovely books I bought for my little monkeys and a listing of their upcoming kids events, I hope the information will be useful!

All Fnac branches in Geneva, Lausanne & Fribourg offer free kids workshops in French, so it’s worth looking at their official website and reserve your place online as soon as possible. Here’s some upcoming dates for your diary:

I am always keen to buy books that have a local theme, so I was chuffed to pick up the following two titles for my 8 year-old: they are detective stories for children based around Geneva, its history & traditions…actually I might read them all myself first!
